So after wandering around a picayune bit with the fact that Nintendont supports HID controllers connected to the Wii or Wii U panel using special .ini drivers, @leonmagnus99, @ScrubLordm8, and me decided to test out some controllers with an adapter called "Mayflash Magic-NS" to run across if nosotros could use them wirelessly with Nintendont. And then they worked, since the controllers were connected via Bluetooth and USB cables through the adapter, and it converts the information and so that it emulates a generic PC controller, which is supported by Nintendont with a special file.
Buy the adapter here ($20)
The compatibility listing contains information well-nigh confirmed working, not tested yet, and not working controllers.
After getting your adapter, you will need to learn how to use it. Connect the adapter into whatsoever USB port on your PC (some MAC laptops exercise not have regular USB ports, instead, they only have USB-C ports. There is a red OTG cable included with the adapter, so you can connect it to your MAC.
Now y'all demand to larn how to switch the modes. On 1 side of the adapter, there is a small black push. if the LED is non Ruby , press and concur the button until it changes color (Currently the colors are dark bluish, dark-green, red, purple, yellow , and cyan). If information technology does not modify to red, echo this step until it does. And then follow the next steps:
To update the firmware, click here.
Do NOT DOWNLOAD OR INSTALL THE FIRMWARE FOR THE Wrong DEVICE, OR OTHERWISE, IT CAN Become DAMAGED! MAKE SURE TO ONLY DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE FIRMWARE FOR THE MAGIC-NS.
Once yous take downloaded the file, extract it to anywhere to your PC or MAC. It is an exe file (yous tin open this file in your MAC by installing a program such as Wine. Before opening the file, plug in the adapter to your PC or MAC, and make sure the LED is ruby, otherwise, it will non piece of work properly.
Now open the file and when the LED in the adapter turns off, click "update" on the program.
DO Non REMOVE THE ADAPTER FROM YOUR PC OR MAC UNTIL THE PROGRAM INDICATES THAT THE UPDATE IS Consummate, OTHERWISE, THE DEVICE WILL Go CORRUPTED!
Congratulations! You have updated your adapter firmware.
Download this file (more details in the file site).
Update to the latest Nintendont (can exist either updated from your pc or straight from the loader).
one. Plug the adapter into your Wii or Wii U console and turn them on (or viceversa, turn it on and then plug the dongle).
2. Become to the HBC and open Nintendont. (If the low-cal is not in PS3 dinput fashion [dark blue], change it) (also the adapter will not turn on inside the HBC so there's is no problem with changing the adapter manner inside Nintendont).
3. One time within the loader, before selecting the location of your games, starting time connecting the controllers to the adapter (The easiest way to do this is to first connect the controller to the adapter with a usb cablevision [if information technology is wireless] and then connecting information technology wirelessly [ps controller=ps button, xbox controller=guide], so it gets registered).
4. Try moving in the Nintendont menu. If y'all can motility in the carte, y'all are ready to use your controller!
THE FOLLOWING CONTROLLERS ARE CONFIRMED AND GUARANTEED 100% WORKING
-Official Xbox One controller (if information technology is the original Xbox one controller, it volition only work with a usb cablevision. S and X controllers work wirelessly). thanks to @ScrubLordm8.
-Official Xbox 360 wireless controller + this adapter thank you to @Demetris.
-Official PS3 Sixaxis and Dualshock three (the controller is already supported past Nintendont with a usb cablevision, but not wirelessly unless information technology is with this adapter) thanks to @ScrubLordm8.
-Official PS4 Dualshock 4 (old and new models) thanks to @leonmagnus99.
-Official Switch Pro Controller (Wireless and wired) thanks to @ScrubLordm8.
-Official Nintendo Joy-Cons (start sync the correct con, and and so the left 1). Thanks to @fr33x74.
-Wii Remote + Hori Wii Fighting Stick cheers to @torrent_get.
-Some generic Wii U Pro Controllers (including the Hyperkin Procube) thanks to the Mayflash site.
-Fake or real Wiimotes + fake or real CC, CCPRO (if your controller doesnt with regular syncing to the panel, y'all tin can endeavour with the adapter) (only some few models) thanks to the Mayflash site.
-NES mini controllers connected to a wiimote thanks to @LGUNTILMARIO.
-Official Microsoft Xbox Ane elite controller thanks to the new dongle firmware and @Missingphy (me).
THE Following CONTROLLERS Accept Not BEEN TESTED YET (IF Y'all Confirm THAT 1 OF THESE WORKS, YOU Volition GET A MENTION IN THIS THREAD):
-Official Microsoft Xbox 360 WIRED controller.
-Logitech F310, F510, and F710 (the F710 comes with a receiver. The Mayflash site says that you demand to connect the receiver to the Magic-NS adapter before connecting it to the console).
If yous accept any controller that has not been tested and is not in this listing, please tell me.
THE Post-obit CONTROLLERS HAVE Issues:
There are currently non controllers that accept whatsoever problems. If one of yours happens to have ane, please tell me and then I can add together it to this list.
THE Post-obit CONTROLLERS Practise NOT Piece of work:
-Xbox 360 wireless controller alone (in that location is already a file for the CronusMaxPlus, but the controller can non sync in any mode with this adapter).
-Hori RAP stick for NS and PC.
Are y'all more used to the Xbox button layout? The Magic-NS adapter switches the ABXY buttons to BAYX, simply you lot tin "fix" this following the next steps:
1. Brand a copy of the original file and place the original file in a location that you lot tin can remember (for example the desktop)
ii. Swap the values of the buttons (In this case y'all would swap A with B, and X with Y, as shown below:
1. Rumble volition never be supported (I think). If yous guys know how to add rumble to the file, please teach me how to.
2. Fifty-fifty if the triggers on your controller are analog, they volition exist registered as digital, because the adapter is intended for the Nintendo Switch, which uses digital triggers.
three. Only 1 controller at a time is supported per adapter. (You lot tin connect various controllers to ane same adapter, but the inputs will exist registered for one player/character, there is zilch you or I can practice to set up this until Mayflash adds proper multiplayr support for the adapter)
5. Annotate if this guide was useful or if you had any bug.
half dozen. If there is any typo or English mistakes in this guide, please tell me so I can correct them.

yes it works on regular wii. are you having issues with it?This of course does NOT work on the regular Wii or does it?

yes it works on regular wii. are you having issues with information technology?
Sorry, no I haven't tried this.
I simply ran across this tread and found it interesting seeing I accept most of those controllers. It just seemed to be oriented towards the WiiU on how to get it to work so I idea perchance information technology didn't work on the regular original Wii. If it does I'll option one up then.

Works perfectly on all kinds of Wii (gc ports/family/vwii) except Wii miniSad, no I oasis't tried this.I just ran across this tread and institute it interesting seeing I accept most of those controllers. It but seemed to be oriented towards the WiiU on how to go information technology to work and then I thought possibly it didn't work on the regular original Wii. If it does I'll pick one up then.

the nvidia shield controller works matively on nintendont with the file you mentioned. so the nvidia shield controller comes with a wireless receiver? if it does, you dont need to go the magic-ns stick. could you accept a movie of the controller and the receiver and post information technology here?I have an Nvidia Shield controller I have been wanting to exam. Would I still demand the dongle even though it comes with a usb reciever primal? There is a .ini file in Nintendont for the controller, I've just been too busy/lazy to examination it.

the nvidia shield controller works matively on nintendont with the file you mentioned. then the nvidia shield controller comes with a wireless receiver? if it does, yous dont need to go the magic-ns stick. could y'all take a picture of the controller and the receiver and post it hither?
I encephalon farted, the usb primal that is plugged in the Shield box is for my wireless keyboard, DUH.
I never figured out if the controller is actually bluetooth or not and I'm pretty certain it uses Xinput but I did find this awhile back, but once more, never did test it.
https://github.com/Syniurge/ShieldControllerWinDriver
But this requires a windows driver which I think would make it not-compatible with the Nintendont .ini file.
In that location is this usb key I came across, but over again, I dont call back it would work in the Wii port.

If the file is in the repo, then the controller works
But how does information technology connect to the Wii?
- #xix
From the nintendont loader, download the controllers.cypher file. Then exit nintendont and connect the Nvidia shield controller to the Wii with a usb cable when you are on the HBC. Then enter nintendont again and cheque if you tin can movement in the menu with the Nvidia controllerBut how does it connect to the Wii?
- #20
From the nintendont loader, download the controllers.zip file. And then exit nintendont and connect the Nvidia shield controller to the Wii with a usb cablevision when you are on the HBC. And so enter nintendont again and cheque if you tin can motility in the menu with the Nvidia controller
Yes I have an updated controller folder. I will get around to trying this soon and report back.
